Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Materials Planner to manage end-to-end materials planning, ensuring production readiness and on-time delivery. The role covers high-volume part portfolios, data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration to resolve supply chain issues.

The planner identifies bottlenecks, aligns suppliers to forecasted demand, and drives continuous improvement through reporting and vendor coordination to meet customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering/related field with relevant coursework.
• Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred; ability to handle paper work and system updates.

Responsibilities

• Plan & schedule materials availability to drive production to meet delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with Buyer, Operations, Programme and Warehouse for on-time delivery.
• Maintain systems data integrity and correctly input purchase parts and fabrication parts.
• Identify bottlenecks and develop contingency plans.
• Work with vendors on revision material or temporary change orders.
• Renew, monitor and translate forecast into material plan; coordinate with suppliers.
• Execute materials planning and procurement for production fulfillment.
• Review daily reports with Purchasing department.
• Coordinate with quality engineers on non-conforming materials.
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers.
• Attend production meetings and provide updates.

The Material Planner manages end‑to‑end materials planning to ensure production readiness and on‑time delivery. This role oversees high‑volume part portfolios, maintains accurate system data, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to resolve supply chain issues. It proactively identifies bottlenecks, aligns suppliers to forecasted demand, and executes material plans that support production goals. The planner drives continuous improvement through reporting, vendor coordination, and quality engagement to meet customer and operational commitments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Parts maintenance checking before project kick in
• Plan & schedule materials availability to drive production to meet customers delivery commits
• Co-ordinate with other departments includingBuyer, Operations, Programme and Warehousefor on‑time delivery
• Systems data maintenance and integrity, key in purchase parts and fabrication parts correctly.
• Identify the possible production bottlenecks and have contingencies plans
• Work with existing vendor on the completion of the new revision material or temporary change order.
• To renew, monitor and translate forecast into material plan and pull in & out with suppliers accordingly.
• Execute materials planning and purchase for production fulfillment
• Review report daily with purchasing dept.
• To coordinate withquality engineers of any non-conforming materials.
• Ensure on‑time delivery of materials from suppliers
• Attend production meetings and any others for communication and update purpose
• Generate management report and other activities as assigned by Superior

Educational/Certification Requirement:

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering

Experience Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Science/ Mathematics/ Materials /Industrial Engineering At least 2 years working experience

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Mechatronics/Industrial Systems Engineering with At least 5 years working experience

Preferably in manufacturing environment
