About the role

Schmaco Auto Parts Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our dynamic Marketing Communications team. This is a contract internship position based in Rawang, Selangor, offering an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in marketing and communications within the automotive parts industry. You will work alongside experienced marketing professionals, contributing to campaigns and initiatives that drive brand awareness and customer engagement for our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital and traditional media
• Supporting the creation of marketing materials, including social media content, emails, and promotional resources
• Conducting market research and competitor analysis to inform marketing strategies
• Assisting with event planning and coordination, including trade shows and customer engagement activities
• Supporting the management of social media accounts and monitoring engagement metrics
• Helping to maintain and update marketing databases and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
• Assisting in the preparation of marketing reports and performance analytics
• Supporting the communications team with internal and external communications initiatives

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia being advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Creative thinking and the ability to contribute fresh ideas to marketing initiatives
• Basic understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing concepts
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst also taking initiative on assigned tasks
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Experience with graphic design tools or marketing automation platforms would be beneficial
• Enthusiasm for the automotive industry and a willingness to learn

What we offer

• Handle customer enquiries, provide quotations, and identify potential products for future business opportunities
• Liaise with customers on orders, pricing, delivery schedules, and any required amendments
• Manage and process customer samples received from sales personnel or purchased externally
• Prepare and issue sales-related documents such as Sales Orders, Proforma Invoices, Sales Confirmations, Order Pick Lists, and Packing Instructions through the ERP system
• Facilitate and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely processing and fulfillment of customer orders
• Request freight quotations from forwarding agents and prepare necessary shipping instructions
• Issue and compile export documentation, including Sales Invoices, Customs Invoices, Packing Lists, and Shipping Instructions for overseas consignments
• Update and maintain product development lists and catalogues; inform customers of updates on a monthly basis
• Participate in product development meetings and provide support for new sample introductions
• Assist in sales promotions, campaigns, and exhibitions to enhance customer engagement
• Prepare marketing content for social media and manage digital marketing postings to support branding and sales activities
• Control, register, and update customer drawings and documents, ensuring proper distribution according to ISO procedure
• Prepare monthly sales reports, data summaries, and performance updates for management review
• Handle customer queries and complaints, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution to maintain customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with all ISO processes, internal procedures, and company rules & regulations
• Promote the company's mission, vision, values, and code of ethics internally and externally
• Maintain proper filing and record-keeping of all sales-related documents in accordance with audit and compliance requirements
• Draft memos, notices, and correspondence to customer as required
• Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes for departmental meetings, and follow up on action items
• Comply with all company rules and regulations as outlined in the appointment letter and employee handbook
• Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by superior from time to time
