Job summary

Apical in Malaysia is seeking a risk analyst to join our team to support daily P&L validation, risk monitoring, and reporting to traders and management. You will help ensure exposures stay within approved limits and contribute to improving risk processes with disciplined analytical work.

The role requires 2-3 years of experience, a degree in accounting or finance, and a willingness to leverage Python automation and MS Office tools to deliver clear insights for the Risk Management Committee and

Qualifications

• Degree in any discipline, preferably Accounting or Finance.
• 2-3 years of work experience, preferably in the commodity industry.
• Automation & programming skills, such as Python, are an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Passionate about risk management and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily validation and reporting of trading profit and loss to traders and management, including analysis of key P&L.
• Monitor and ensuring exposure are within approved limits
• Assist in the preparation of reports for the Risk Management Committee.
• Collaborate with team to mitigate risk and improve processes.
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of position.
