Bank Negara Malaysia seeks an Associate Supervisor, Market (Horizontal Surveillance) to undertake industry-wide surveillance and assessment of market and liquidity risk developments, and to support proactive supervision and timely supervisory intervention.

The role involves providing views on market and liquidity risk matters to support institution-specific supervision, CRR assessments and supervisory decision-making, with opportunities to contribute to supervisory frameworks and collaboration

Qualifications

• Masters or bachelor’s degree or professional qualifications in accounting, economics, banking, finance, law or risk management.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience. Experience in supervision, financial sector, auditing or risk management is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous horizontal surveillance of market and liquidity risk across the banking industry to identify emerging vulnerabilities, risk concentrations, outliers and systemic trends.
• Provide views and guidance on market and liquidity risk matters to support supervision and CRR assessments and supervisory decision-making.
• Establish and maintain effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate information sharing and promotion of understanding of risks.
