Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation in Malaysia seeks a maintenance technician to support production equipment through setup, calibration, testing, maintenance, and operation.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot failures, and work from blueprints and manuals to ensure equipment uptime and quality. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years in production/maintenance as technician.
• Able to work shifts (7am–7pm) and OT if needed.

Job Overview

Performs basic activities to assist in manufacturing and assembling various products per established facility processes including set-up, calibration, testing, maintenance, and production operation.
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, performing preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure total customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

• Perform evaluations and/or analyze unique problems that are new to equipment.
• Perform predictive maintenance by analyzing routine failures and determining adjustments and repairs that need to be made.
• Perform training as needed to Lower level Maintenance Techs on troubleshooting and repair techniques utilized with equipment.
• Perform specified preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent equipment downtime.
• Monitor equipment operations to ensure proper usage.
• Construct and/or assemble new equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and repair as needed.
• Perform specified preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent equipment downtime.
• Perform Lock Out / Tag Out requirements.
• Work from blueprints, manuals, sketches and verbal instructions.
• Help repairing on hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.
• Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.

What your background should look like

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Min 1-3 years experience in production/maintenance astechnician.
• Able to work shift (7am/pm-7pm-am) and support OT if needed.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must have good or corrected eyesight to insure quality of work.
• Ability to lift and carry 25 kg frequently.
• Ability to crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at various heights.
• Good basic math skills.
• Attention to detail and target oriented.
• Good mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting ability.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
