Terex Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer/Assistant Manufacturing Manager to drive Lean initiatives across the production floor in Subang Jaya. You will implement 5S, VSM, and takt time, develop master schedules, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet BTS and OTD targets.
The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, proficiency with Creo View, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while juggling multiple priorities. Travel as needed.
Implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), process standardization, team boards, production progress Gantt charts, 7-waste reduction, and takt time calculations.
Troubleshoot production line issues and resolve manufacturing challenges such as defects, schedule delays, rework, and equipment breakdowns to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain the production master schedule, generate picking lists, and prepare engineering drawing packages for the assembly team.
Monitor, analyze, and report on machine testing activities (JTI).
Coordinate and facilitate daily production control room meetings with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of action items.
Support the achievement of Build-to-Schedule (BTS) and On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets.
Set up and maintain Creo Viewer systems to support shopfloor assembly operations.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and lifting plans to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Collaborate closely with the Engineering team to resolve technical issues encountered during assembly.
Prepare monthly 5S audit reports, coordinate Kaizen continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain hazard and near‑miss reporting records.
Support the implementation of the Safety Roadmap and assist with accident investigations, including LTA (Lost Time Accident) investigations.
Conduct safety briefings and communicate Terex Group Incident Reports to promote workplace safety awareness.
Develop proposals for factory layout expansion and process improvement projects.
Lead workstation relocation activities and support jig and fixture design projects to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Assist in planning and coordinating factory facilities and machinery preventive maintenance schedules.
Maintain effective communication with supervisors and team members by providing regular updates, fostering collaboration, and promoting a positive team culture.
Supervise team members on day‑to‑day operational matters, including work allocation, attendance, leave administration, and disciplinary issues.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment.
Proficient in using Creo View or similar engineering visualization software.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Willingness and ability to travel as required.
