Job summary

TE Connectivity in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in repair and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment in the Penang area. The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and a strong safety mindset.

Candidate should have at least 4 years of related work experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift 25 kg. Training and career growth are supported in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of related work experience.
• Requires completion of high school; vocational training or AA degree preferred.
• Must have good or corrected eyesight to ensure quality.
• Must be able to lift 25 kg repeatedly.
• Able to crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and/or analyze unique problems that are new to equipment.
• Perform predictive maintenance by analyzing routine failures and determining adjustments and repairs.
• Provide training to lower level Maintenance Techs on troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent downtime.
• Monitor equipment operations to ensure proper usage.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and repair as needed.
• Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Work from blueprints, manuals, sketches and verbal instructions.
• Assist in repairing hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical systems.
• Adhere to quality and safety systems.

• Construct and/or assemble new equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and repair as needed
• Perform specified preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent equipment down-time
• Perform Lock Out / Tag Out requirements.
• Work from blueprints, manuals, sketches and verbal instructions.
• Help repairing on hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.
• Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards

Job Requirement
