About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manufacturing Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Pasir Gudang, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a pivotal role in ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production operations at our state-of-the-art facility. As Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of production operators whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity. This role is instrumental in supporting Masimo's mission to deliver world-class medical devices that positively impact patient care globally. You will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager and serve as a critical link between senior management and frontline production staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of production operators, ensuring they understand production requirements, standard operating procedures, and quality standards


• Monitor daily production activities to ensure targets are met and production schedules are maintained whilst maintaining flexibility to respond to changing business needs


• Enforce compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety briefings and ensuring all staff adhere to established safety protocols


• Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions to address any deviations from established quality standards and specifications


• Manage production documentation, record-keeping, and reporting to ensure full traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements


• Identify and implement process improvements and productivity enhancements to optimise manufacturing efficiency


• Communicate effectively with other departments, including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Planning, to ensure seamless production operations


• Conduct investigations into production issues and implement preventive measures to minimise recurrence


• Support the development and maintenance of production standards, work instructions, and operational procedures


• Report on production metrics, including output, quality, efficiency, and safety performance to senior management

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or team leader experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated industries


• Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating teams to achieve production targets and quality objectives


• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and lean manufacturing principles


• Excellent understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 13485 or equivalent, and the ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements


• Proficiency in health and safety management, with the ability to create and maintain a strong safety culture within the team


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and hierarchical levels


• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues, analyse root causes, and implement effective solutions


• Proficiency in basic computer systems and production management software


• Fluency in English; additional language skills, particularly Malay or Mandarin, are advantageous


• Certification in First Aid or relevant health and safety qualifications are preferred but not essential


• Experience with production scheduling systems and statistical analysis of production data would be beneficial
