Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Malaysia's Penang region is seeking a seasoned Logistics Supervisor to lead warehousing, inventory control, and import/export operations in a high-volume electronics manufacturing setting.

You will drive storage implementations, ensure compliance with customs regulations, and partner with external bodies to stay ahead of logistics trends while supporting ICARE values and a strong cost-control mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent required.
• MRP knowledge a plus.
• Five years supervisory experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Familiar with import/export regulations and air freight processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team to provide logistic support and warehousing with accurate inventory control.
• Meet customer expectations in line with Quality Policy.
• Lead import/export and warehousing activities.
• Develop storage systems and procedures to ensure compliance and fast customs clearance.
• Maintain relationships with external bodies for insights into trends.
• Monitor freight costs for finished goods and raw materials.
• Plan logistics to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure staff compliance with rules and regulations.
• Contribute to cost control and quality programs.
• Develop staff for future trends.

• Do ' whatever it takes' to meet or exceed our customers' expectation in compliance with the Quality Policy.
• Lead a team of staff pertaining to import/export and warehousing function.
• Develop and implement effective storage systems.
• Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance to import/export regulations and facilitate fast customs clearance of materials.
• Build working relationship with various external bodies for insight into future trends development.
• Implement freight cost control program in monitoring finish goods and raw materials delivery costs.
• Planning of logistic support to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Ensure staff's compliance to rules and regulations.
• Participation in cost control and quality programs.
• Develop staff to be able to handle future trends.

Education & Experience

• MRP knowledge. .
• Min 5 years at supervisory level in an electronics high volume manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of air freighting procedures.
• Indepth understanding of customs/MIDA regulations.

Skills

• Articulate with good communications skills and ability to interact with all levels.
