Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Shift Trainer at our Penang campus. You will train new operators and recertify existing staff to meet process and product standards while driving safety, quality, and efficiency on the line.

Responsibilities include communicating process changes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging AI and digital tools to enhance training effectiveness and learning outcomes in a smart manufacturing environment.

Competenze

• Diploma in any discipline, preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical, Education, or related fields.
• Experience training or certifying manufacturing personnel is preferred.

Mansioni

• Train and certify team members, onboarding and recertification for operators.
• Deliver cross-training and multi-skill development to improve workforce flexibility.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, OPLs, ECNs and manufacturing standards.
• Monitor operator competency through certification assessments and production verification.
• Provide shift-to-shift training briefings and communicate updates.
• Track certifications, training records, and skills using systems such as Workday, OTP, and TNA.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Safety teams to support goals and improvements.
• Drive operator upskilling, re-certification, and capability development.
• Support audits by maintaining training compliance and documentation.
• Coach operators on processes, quality, safety, and best practices.
• Ensure all Training KPIs are met.

As an Shift Trainer at MMP, you will be responsible for training of new operators as well as re-certification of existing operators to meet quality of process and product. In this role you will also need to communicate any process/piece-part/flow changes to the line, work with Supervisor to improve operator performance/efficiency. Other responsibilities include contributing to the safe work environment by following safety procedures and promptly reporting identified hazards.

Responsibilities and Tasks: Train and Certify Team Members

• Conduct operator onboarding, certification, and recertification training for new and existing manufacturing personnel
• Deliver cross-training and multi-skill development programs to improve workforce flexibility. [
• Ensure compliance with training requirements, SOPs, OPLs, ECNs, and manufacturing standards.
• Monitor and verify operator competency through certification assessments and production lot verification activities.
• Provide shift-to-shift training briefings and communicate process, quality, and operational updates.
• Support workforce readiness by tracking certifications, training records, and skill matrices using systems such as Workday, OTP, and TNA
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Safety teams to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive operator upskilling, re-certification, and capability development to maintain production efficiency and quality performance.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by maintaining training compliance and documentation.
• Coach and mentor operators on manufacturing processes, quality expectations, safety requirements, and best practices.
• Ensure all Training KPIs are met

• Leverage AI and Digital Tools in Daily Operations Utilize approved AI tools to improve training effectiveness, productivity, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing. Use AI-driven insights to identify training gaps, analyze operator performance trends, and enhance learning outcomes. Continuously develop personal AI knowledge and digital skills to support manufacturing excellence.
• Train Operators on AI & Digital Skills Educate and guide operators on the responsible use of approved AI and digital tools in the workplace. Incorporate AI-enabled learning methods into training programs and certification activities. Promote digital literacy and encourage the adoption of AI technologies to improve operational efficiency, quality, and safety. Support operators in developing future-ready skills aligned with smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
