Job summary

Celestica Inc. is seeking an Engineer, Manufacturing Equipment to develop and source manufacturing equipment supporting operations goals. Responsibilities include maintenance, RTPS, budget management, NPI validation, and driving CAPA with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience as an equipment engineer in manufacturing industry preferrably electronics.
• Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative, and predictive maintenance (PM/RCM/TPM) on equipment to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Execute Real-Time Problem Solving (RTPS) for line downtime and manage line backlog recovery strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Manage the Repair & Maintenance (RNM) budget for machine maintenance, spare parts replacement, and component obsolescence evaluations.
• Oversee tool testing, component characterization for New Product Introductions (NPI), and material validations.
• Lead 8D problem-solving initiatives for quality issues and ensure timely reporting and escalation to customers.
• Lead and support customer audits, including Gap Assessments, CMQS, and PCL1/PCL2 (for NPI products).
• Direct engineering staff members, manage vendor relationships, and negotiate work under strict risk management and contract guidelines.
