Qualifications

• Requires degree in Engineering, Sciences or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with equipment and production lines.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to build strong networks with overseas counterparts.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• English proficiency is essential.
• Minimum 2 years in medical device manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support to ensure high quality and yield.
• Review and resolve issues affecting final product, including docs, materials, processes, and equipment.
• Plan, organize, and direct engineering work under supervision.
• Identify and implement best practices to improve processes.
• Support production, vendors, and source inspection with technical resources.
• Contribute to failure analysis and corrective actions reporting.
• Assist with new product transfers, qualification, and line setups.
• Participate in process validations and equipment validations.
• Improve manufacturing metrics such as yield, productivity and lead times.

Job description

Working under general supervision, provides manufacturing engineering support and is responsible for high quality and yield.

Reviews and resolves issues impacting final product such as documentation, material, process and equipment.

Exercises technical judgment in planning, organizing, performing, coordinating and/or directing engineering work.

Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness.

Provides technical support and resources to production, vendors, suppliers and source inspection.

Provides in depth feedback reports to management on failure modes and corrective actions.

Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Responsible for providing technical support for different processes and equipment to manufacturing to ensure high quality and yield.

Responsible for process improvements, evaluate and provide solution to selected processes.

Work with manufacturing to improve manufacturing metrics that includes yield, productivity, lead-time etc.

Perform and participates in engineering evaluations and equipment/process validations.

Support new product transfer, product qualification and line setup.

Requirement

Degree in Engineering, Sciences or equivalent.
