Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to deliver best-in-class testing methods and equipment for production lines, collaborating with R&D, suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure quality and consistency.

You will lead development of test systems, review solutions from suppliers, drive cost and yield improvements, and support production with new processes and product transfers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing test systems and equipment design.
• Ability to analyze data and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Early engagement with R&D to develop measurement systems and test requirements.
• Own test system development, design, verification and production release.
• Review supplier solutions and propose optimized hardware and firmware.
• Coordinate yield, cost and quality improvements with multi-functional teams.
• Drive failure analysis and corrective actions through production end.
• Provide documentation support to suppliers' engineering ops teams.
• Optimize test limits and validate systems using statistics.
• Support product and technology transfers between sites.
• Assist ongoing production with new process development and PPI.

Job description

Responsible for delivering best-in-class manufacturing testing methods and equipment, work with multi-functional NPI teams, R&D, suppliers and contract manufacturers for technical readiness of the production lines. Standardize the test strategy amongst the different product categories, technologies and suppliers to ensure high product quality and manufacturing consistency.

Key responsibilities

Early engagement in product and technology development; collaborate with R&D teams to develop measurement systems, test equipment and derive test requirement specifications for module and product level

Take ownership of manufacturing test system development and equipment designs - including requirements, concepts generation and detailed design, analysis and verification testing, multi-functional reviews, and production release

Review and challenge technical solutions from internal and external suppliers; propose alternate optimized HW and FW solutions

Act as a technical leader to coordinate the yield, cost and quality improvement activities with multi-functional teams and suppliers

Drive failure analysis, corrective action implementation plan from engineering build to end of production and apply the learning to the next generation product

Ensure high-quality specifications/documentation and provide support to suppliers Engineering Operations teams

Conduct optimization of the test limits and validate test systems using statistical tools

Support product and technology transfers between manufacturing and supplier sites

Support ongoing production with new process development and PPI (Product and Process Improvement)
