Job summary

Lam Research Malaysia is seeking a Shift Manufacturing Engineer 1 to support pilot, virtual, or high-volume manufacturing. You will oversee planning, development, and maintenance of methods, processes, and operations, addressing technical and production challenges to optimize costs and quality.

The role involves 24-hour rotating shifts, improving manufacturability, and sharing best practices with production teams across Malaysia Operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; 2+ years of experience, or advanced degree with no experience.
Strong troubleshooting in electro-mechanical assemblies and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling and CAD/PLM/PDM systems.
Ability to read engineering drawings including GD&T.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot product, process, tooling, fixture, and assembly issues during manufacturing and drive timely resolution.
Perform root cause investigations using 8D and RCCA; implement STCA and LTCA.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, quality, cycle time, and efficiency.
Provide disposition and assessment for rejected or non-conforming materials.
Review designs and processes to improve manufacturability and quality.
Develop Best Known Methods (BKM) with production teams.
Analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Support 24-hour operations on a rotating 12-hour shift.
