Job summary

Lam Research Malaysia is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support pilot production, virtual manufacturing, or high-volume factories. You will oversee planning, development, and maintenance of methods, processes, and operations to resolve technical and production challenges.

You’ll help optimize costs and standards, contributing to Lam's commitment to innovation and efficiency in manufacturing. The role includes working on 12‑hour rotating shifts as part of a 24‑hour operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and 2+ years of experience.
• Strong troubleshooting of electro‑mechanical assemblies in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD, CAD/PLM/PDM systems, and BOM management.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot product, process, tooling, fixture, and assembly issues.
• Conduct 8D and RCCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Improve processes, quality, cycle time, and efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide disposition and technical assessment for rejected materials and components.
• Review designs and manufacturing processes to improve manufacturability and quality.
• Develop and share Best Known Methods with production teams.
• Support 24-hour manufacturing operations through a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
