Qualifications

• Experience with machining (milling/turning) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update sheet metal forming / stamping processes and work instructions.
• Design stamping tools, die-sets, tooling, fixtures and gauges.
• Develop processes like Broaching, Orbital riveting and shot peening.
• Conduct pre-production pilot runs and training.
• Provide technical support to Production to meet requirements.
• Liaise with Vendors on product requirements and process development.
• Support continuous improvement projects.
• Multitask other engineering duties as assigned.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with safety rules.

Job Description

• Develop, create & update sheet metal forming / stamping processes and work instructions inaccordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  
• Design stamping tools, die-sets, tooling, fixtures and gauges for the respective fabrication processes.
  
• Develop manufacturing process like Broaching, Orbital riveting and shot peening for themanufacturing of actuating products.
  
• Conductpre-production pilot run and training for associates.
  
• Maintain and modify special processes currently in Production to achieve technical and qualityrequirements.
  
• Provide technical support to Production to achieve technical and quality requirements.
  
• Liaise with Vendors on product requirements, process qualifications and technology development.
  
• Participate and support continuous improvement projects.
  
• Multitask other engineering-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering orDiploma holders with minimum 5 years of experience.
  
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a precision manufacturing mass productionenvironment
  
• Good manufacturing experience and knowledge in Stamping Tool and Die-set Design, Sheet metalForming / Stamping Processes.
  
• Machining (Milling / Turning) knowledge including understanding of manufacturing technology.
  
• Knowledge on special process like Shot peening, Heat Treatment, Brazing, FPI and EC part markingis an added advantage.
  
• Good knowledge of raw material control, manufacturing processes, GD&T, 8D and laboratorytesting.
  
• Proficient in Unigrahics, Solidworks and/or Autocad will be a plus.
  
• Good interpersonal and communication skill.
