Job summary

HP seeks a Manufacturing Development Engineer in Penang, Malaysia to design and optimize manufacturing processes for parts and assemblies, leading projects with internal and external partners.

You will develop cost estimates, capacity models, and tooling requirements for new product introductions, while mentoring staff and ensuring processes meet cost and delivery targets using sound engineering principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Typically 4–6 years experience.
• Experience in setup/startup of a new line is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designs engineering solutions for manufacturing of parts and assemblies.
• Develops cost estimates, capacity models, and tooling requirements for new products.
• Collaborates with management and external partners to ensure process and standards compliance.
• Leads and mentors staff on complex development and manufacturing projects.
• Acts as SME for process & tooling (adhesive dispense, pick & place, stake & bake, vision teaching).
