Job summary

HP is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Malaysia to apply subject matter knowledge to address complex production issues. You will lead and collaborate on manufacturing projects, mentor junior staff, and act as a SME for process and tooling including adhesive dispense, pick & place, stake & bake, and vision teaching.

The role emphasizes designing efficient processes, preparing cost and capacity models, and ensuring adherence to specifications and quality targets within established guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology or manufacturing-related engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Typically 4-6 years experience.
• Experience in setup or start up a new line will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designs engineering solutions for manufacturing of parts and assemblies.
• Develops cost estimates, capacity models, time standards, layouts and tooling recommendations.
• Collaborates with management and partners on process compliance and problem resolution.
• Represents the manufacturing engineering team in projects.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff.
• Subject matter expert for process and tooling (adhesive dispense, pick & place, stake & bake, vision teaching).
• Determines optimum process settings to ensure best quality products.
• Prepares analysis reports and recommendations for improvements.
• Coordinates with contract manufacturing to meet cost and delivery targets.
