Job summary

Lam Research Corporation is seeking a Cost Performance Engineering specialist in Penang to support NPI costing and optimize manufacturing costs. You will oversee costing of processes and supplier operations, tackling cost reduction challenges and driving efficiency in production.

The role emphasizes applying cost and manufacturing principles, reviewing BOMs, and collaborating with engineers to ensure cost-effective designs and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Cost (DFC) approach.
• Working knowledge in OMS, process planning, and BOM Management.
• Preferred knowledge of semiconductor equipment and capital equipment manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot costing challenges in designs, materials, or processes.
• Design, develop, and implement costing practices.
• Review designs to improve manufacturability and assembly.
• Coordinate new product builds in pilot production with manufacturing and engineers.
