Job summary

SHB Malaysia Automotive Appliance Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a qualified Cost Accountant to oversee manufacturing cost accounting, cost calculation, and monthly cost reporting.

You will collaborate with Finance, Production, and Warehouse to ensure accurate cost data and strong cost controls. The role involves inventory reconciliation, month-end closing, and support for audits, with opportunities for professional growth within a global automotive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant Cost Accounting experience, manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, material consumption, cost allocation and cost analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Good communication skills in Mandarin, English, and/or Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Cost Accounting & Calculation – collect, verify, and analyze cost data and perform monthly product cost calculations.
• Cost Analysis & Reporting – prepare monthly cost reports, cost variance and product cost analyses.
• Inventory Reconciliation & Stocktaking – reconcile material records with warehouse data and support cycle counts.
• Month-End Closing & Audit Support – review vouchers, perform cost closing, assist audits.
• Cost Control & Coordination – collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Finance to improve cost data accuracy.
