Job summary

Panel Plus Company Limited, a wood substitute materials producer in Malaysia, seeks a dedicated cost accountant to manage COGS, inventory valuation, standard costing, and monthly closures. You will align production data with financial records, prepare variance analyses, and support internal controls.

The role requires 3–5 years in cost or management accounting, strong manufacturing costing knowledge, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or management accounting.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• High level of responsibility, accuracy, and ability to meet monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure accuracy of COGS and inventory valuation.
• Validate material, labor, and overhead allocation.
• Set standard costing.
• Perform monthly costing reconciliation (production vs accounting).
• Execute monthly costing closing process.
• Follow standardized costing SOP.
• Ensure alignment between production data and financial records.
• Prepare cost reports and variance analysis.
• Work closely with production team, HO finance team, and management accounting team.
• Support audits and internal controls.
