Job summary

PARADIGM METAL INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. is seeking a detail-oriented procurement professional in Penang, responsible for sourcing, negotiating and procuring materials, equipment and services from local and international suppliers.

You will ensure timely delivery, cost-effective procurement in line with company policies, evaluate vendor performance, prepare purchase orders and contracts, and maintain accurate purchasing records. Strong Mandarin and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business admin or related field.
• 2-3 years in indirect material, machine repair/service, construction, or contract work.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
• Able to work independently with multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Experience with manufacturing and sourcing processes.
• Knowledge of contractor price analysis.
• Multitasking, attention to detail, and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate and procure material, equipment, and service from local and international supplier.
• Ensure timely delivery and cost effective procurement in line company policies and budget
• Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, standard, delivery time and best price
• Prepare and process purchase order, contract and other procurement related documentation
• Maintain accurate record of purchase, pricing and inventory
• Work closely with internal department to forecast needs and avoid supply shortage or overstocking
• Monitor and manage supplier relationship, including resolving any issues related to delivery or quality
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulation and company policies
• Conduct market research to identify potential supplier and new product
• Participate in regular audits to ensure procurement procedures are being followed.
