Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (PROTON) in Malaysia seeks a Manager, Network Planning & Development (International Sales) to lead development and expansion of PROTON’s international distributor network. The candidate will support the development, expansion, and management of PROTON’s international network. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders, including the International Sales Division, Legal, Domestic Sales, and Marketing teams, as well as external global partners such as investors, distributors, and dealers, to strengthen market presence and drive international business growth.
We are looking for a proactive, collaborative, and culturally adaptable individual with strong intercultural communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic, multicultural environment and capable of building strong relationships while identifying opportunities to support the expansion of PROTON’s export network.
Develop and implement strategies, policies, guidelines, and processes to enhance distributor performance, strengthen governance, and ensure compliance with PROTON’s standards.
Establish and oversee distributor network development standards to drive operational excellence, consistency, and sustainable market growth.
Support the evaluation, selection, and appointment of new distributors, including contract renewals, amendments, and terminations.
Monitor distributor performance and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify improvement areas and drive corrective actions.
Work closely with internal teams and international partners to ensure effective network planning, development, and operational execution across markets.
Analyse market and distributor performance data to identify opportunities for network expansion, optimisation, and business growth.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Business Studies, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in international business, distributor management, network development, sales, or a related field.
Work Location: Centre of Excellence, Subang Jaya.

Strong command of written and spoken English.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with familiarity in AI-powered productivity and analytical tools.
Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and intercultural communication skills.
Strong analytical, data interpretation, and data visualisation capabilities.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and international partners in a multicultural environment.
