Job summary

GAMUDA Malaysia is seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator for a complex data centre project. You will manage and coordinate M&E works, groom young talents, and ensure the project is delivered on time.

The role requires resolving technical matters to achieve smooth delivery. Attend progress and technical meetings, coordinate with all staff and external parties, and provide specialist support in Plumbing, ACMV, and Fire protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 9–15 years of hands-on M&E construction experience.
• Experience in data centre construction or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Attend site progress meetings and provide technical solutions.
• Coordinate between internal staff and external stakeholders.
• Technical support in Plumbing, ACMV, Fire protection for data centre projects.
• Interpret specifications, codes and local regulations for construction.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor progress to meet timelines.

Job Description

Manage and coordinate M&E related works. Groom young talents on M&E works. To carry out the overall MEP coordination with respective subcontractor and deliver the project within the timeline. To resolve the technical relevant matters and ensure smoothness delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend to site progress meetings, technical meetings and provide technical solutions.
• Co-ordination works between all relevant staffs within the organizations and also with all external staffs.
• Technical support particularly in Plumbing, ACMV, Fire protection system particularly in data centre project and in all other mechanical and electrical discipline.
• Ability to interpret and apply knowledge of technical specifications, code of compliance, and local regulations into construction in data centre project.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Require to carry out overall coordination with all respective subcontractors and monitor the work progress to strictly follow the required timeline.
• To guide through subordinate which is under his role and responsibility.
• Assists immediate superior in delegating works to subordinate, coordination of work with authorities, consultant, contractors, sub-contractors, all suppliers, and monitor works for compliance with required specification, standards and achieve the objectives of the company
• To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
• Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a local or overseas tertiary institution recognized by Board of Engineers Malaysia.

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

• 9 to 15 years of hands-on experience in M&E construction industry.
• Strong experience with design and build (D&B) contractors in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Prior experience in data centre construction or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
