National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) is seeking a Marketing professional to lead recurring fundraising initiatives and donor management. The role focuses on growing sustainable income, reducing donor churn, and ensuring accurate donor data and payment reconciliations.
You will collaborate with Finance and Compliance, maintain SOPs, and uphold the NCSM brand while engaging with diverse donors. Fluency in Bahasa Melayu and English is required in this not‑for‑profit environment.
NCSM operates a structured recurring fundraising programme within the individual sector. This position works closely with the reporting manager and internal stakeholders to manage, strengthen and sustain the individual fundraising base.
The role is responsible for ensuring stable recurring income, improving donor retention, maintaining accurate records, and strengthening operational and compliance standards.
To develop and implement strategies that ensure consistent and sustainable recurring income growth.
To monitor donor attrition and implement structured retention programmes to reduce churn and inactive donors.
To oversee the management and reconciliation of auto-debit transactions and recurring payment platforms.
To ensure donor database accuracy, proper documentation, and data hygiene.
To work closely with the Finance Department to ensure accurate and timely monthly reconciliation and reporting.
To ensure compliance with PDPA requirements and proper maintenance of donor consent and authorisation records.
To review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relating to recurring giving operations.
To maintain effective working relationships with service providers to ensure operational efficiency.
To collaborate with team members across departments to ensure sustainability of recurring income streams.
To represent and uphold the values and brand of NCSM.
To perform any other duties assigned by Management as and when required.
Possess minimum of bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications or related field.
5 years of experience in marketing.
Experience in recurring fundraising, subscription-based models, CRM operations, TELCO, or financial administration.
Experience in donor database management and payment reconciliation processes.
Experience working closely with Finance or compliance functions is preferred.
Proficiency in both Bahasa Melayu and English languages.
Strong communication skills required to liaise with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those who primarily speak other languages.
