IDEAS Berhad in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Manager, Fundraising and Partnerships to lead a sustainable fundraising and partnerships strategy in support of IDEAS Autism Centre's mission and 2026–2028 plan.

The role blends strategic planning with hands-on fundraising, relationship management and communications, working with internal teams to ensure donor stewardship, visibility and accountability across all efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, media or related field.
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Confident IT and database management skills.
  • Persistence, resilience and a relationship-focused approach to fundraising.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a coherent fundraising and partnerships strategy aligned with IDEAS Autism Centre's three year strategy.
  • Set and achieve realistic fundraising targets in consultation with the Director of Fundraising and Partnerships and relevant team members.
  • Build and manage a diverse fundraising portfolio including individuals, major donors, corporates, trusts and foundations, campaigns and events.
  • Conduct prospect research and maintain a comprehensive fundraising database with accurate and up-to-date donor information.
  • Cultivate, steward and grow relationships with existing and prospective donors and partners, with a particular focus on major donors.
  • Represent IDEAS Autism Centre at relevant networking events, fundraising forums and partnership meetings.
  • Line manage and support junior executives and or interns contributing to fundraising activities.
  • Develop and maintain standardised fundraising and publicity materials for awareness and fundraising.
  • Produce a regular newsletter to share with supporters, partners and donors.
  • Research fundraising opportunities and write grant applications to charitable trusts or statutory bodies.

Job description

The Manager, Fundraising and Partnerships is responsible for developing and delivering a sustainable and diversified fundraising and partnership strategy to support IDEAS Autism Centre's mission and its three year strategy 2026 to 2028. Since opening in 2012, IDEAS has grown to three centres in Rawang, Nilai and Port Dickson, supporting more than 100 children aged 3 to 14.
