Job summary

DHL is seeking a skilled Freight Audit & Payments professional in Malaysia to manage end-to-end processes across road, air and ocean transport. You will ensure invoices align with contracts, rate cards and transport events, and you’ll coordinate payments to carriers while tracking costs and KPIs.

The role requires 5+ years in freight audit/payments, strong Excel/data analysis abilities, and experience with TMS platforms and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field; Master’s is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in freight audit & payments, finance operations or transport cost control (LLP/4PL/3PL environment).
• Minimum 3 years in transportation contracts, rate structures and logistics processes.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with TMS platforms and freight audit tools.
• Advanced Excel/data analysis skills; experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end freight audit process across all transport modes.
• Ensure invoices match contracts, rate cards and transport events.
• Ensure timely approval and release of payments to carriers and vendors per SLA.
• Track and report on transport costs, variances and KPIs.
• Support forecasting, accruals and month-end closing for freight costs.
• Collaborate with carriers to ensure timely invoicing and billing compliance.
• Lead carrier onboarding from a billing perspective.
• Identify discrepancies and lead resolution with carriers and internal teams.
• Provide cost breakdowns and savings reports to stakeholders and clients.
• Ensure accurate cost allocation to shipments, business units or customers.
• Act as primary contact for client finance/procurement on billing matters.

• Identify discrepancies, overcharges, and accessorial errors; lead resolution with carriers and internal teams.
• Provide cost breakdowns and savings reports to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Ensure accurate cost allocation to shipments, business units, or customers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client finance/procurement teams for billing-related matters.

Requirements
