Job summary

Alam-Con Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a capable junior accountant to join our finance team. You will handle full or partial sets of accounts, prepare monthly statements and reconciliations, and manage invoices and bank reconciliations while supporting budgeting and cost control.

Strong independence and timeliness are required, with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus. Proficiency in AutoCount and UBS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in handling full set accounts will be an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in AutoCount and UBS accounting software.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and well-organized.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Language Required: English & Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin language skills are an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Handle full set or partial set of accounts, including AP, AR, and General Ledger.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
• Manage invoices, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities; ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and relevant authorities when required.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
