Job summary

Asia Recruit in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Accountant with 2-5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or finance. You will handle full set accounts and financial reporting, prepare monthly statements, and ensure regulatory compliance. ACCA/CPA is advantageous, and strong Excel/ERP skills are required.

The role requires independence to manage multiple client portfolios and meet deadlines, with opportunities to liaise with auditors and tax agents and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
• 2-5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or finance.
• Experience handling full set accounts and financial reporting.
• ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple client portfolios and deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Handle a full set of accounts for local and multinational clients.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Manage GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Prepare audit schedules, tax schedules, SST submissions, and statutory reports.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Provide accounting advisory and financial reporting support to clients.
• Support process improvements and ad-hoc finance projects.
