GMD is seeking a senior leader to oversee its intelligence and digital content functions. You will guide monitoring activities, shape content strategy, and advise the Head of Media during routine operations and crises. Build and drive 24/7 teams, manage content calendars, and translate insights into impactful public communications.
You will own dashboards, benchmark performance, and deliver ROI reports to inform strategy and governance across the organization.
Lead the Company’s intelligence and digital content function. You will oversee monitoring activities, drive content strategy, and advise the Head of Media during both routine operations and crisis situations. Transform insights into impactful content that shapes public perception.
Key Accountabilities
1) Leadership & Strategy
Lead and manage the digital monitoring and content team through a 24/7 framework.
Develop and implement an annual digital content and social listening strategy aligned with the Company’s corporate and business objectives.
Own and manage the social media content calendar, ensuring consistency in brand messaging and tone of voice.
Review and approve all reactive and planned content prior to publication.
Drive thought leadership initiatives for GMD’s leadership presence on LinkedIn.
Monitor and optimize content performance through key metrics including reach, engagement, and sentiment impact.
Manage agencies and creative partners for content development, including design and video production.
3) Advanced Analysis & Crisis Command
Provide strategic insights and intelligence analysis to support management decision-making.
Lead the Intelligence Desk during crisis situations, delivering timely updates and coordinating holding statements for approval.
Provide strategic counsel on digital response actions, including when to post, pause, or respond across online platforms.
4) Stakeholder & Performance Management
Manage media monitoring and social listening platforms, including vendor performance and optimization.
Own and maintain Power BI dashboards tracking media coverage, sentiment analysis, and content performance.
Conduct industry benchmarking against key competitors on content performance and share of voice (SOV).
Deliver performance insights and content ROI reports to management to support strategic decision-making.
5) Governance
Develop, maintain, and oversee crisis communications playbooks and digital operating procedures (SOPs).
Build team capabilities through training on news judgement, content development, and digital platform best practices.
Key Deliverables: Deliver daily intelligence summaries, crisis reports, quarterly content and reputation strategies, board-level dashboards, approved social content, and campaign performance reports with actionable insights.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field. A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years leading teams and managing corporate social media platforms.
Proven portfolio in crisis communications, digital campaigns, audience engagement growth, and online reputation management.
Strong capabilities in strategic content planning, team leadership, copywriting, stakeholder management, and advanced digital analytics.
