Mewah Group, a leading integrated agri-business, is seeking an experienced Manager, Data Platform & Engineering to lead the development and operation of our enterprise data platform. You will build scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality and governance, and enable analytics and AI initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in Data Engineering/ Data Platform/ Data Warehouse or related roles.
• At least 2–3 years leading a team or as a technical lead.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and pipelines.
• Hands-on with SQL, Python and/or Spark, data modelling, and data integration.
• Familiarity with governance, quality, security practices.
• Experience with production platform performance, monitoring, reliability.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in manufacturing/ FMCG/ supply chain industries.
• Exposure to AI/Generative AI and data platforms for AI.
• Knowledge of governance solutions like Purview.

We are looking for an experienced Manager, Data Platform & Engineering to lead the development and operation of our enterprise data platform. This role will be responsible for building scalable data solutions, ensuring data quality and governance, and enabling analytics and AI initiatives across the organization. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities to build and mentor a high-performing data engineering team.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the development, delivery, and operation of the Group's enterprise data platform.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrations, and data models to support analytics and AI initiatives.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, platform reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Deliver trusted and governed datasets for reporting, business intelligence, and decision-making.
• Collaborate with Digital Innovation, Enterprise Architecture, and business stakeholders on data-driven initiatives.
• Establish engineering best practices, standards, and documentation to support sustainable platform growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing data engineering team.
• Manage platform roadmap, project delivery, and technology investments to achieve business objectives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform, Data Warehouse, or related roles.
• At least 2-3 years of experience leading a team or serving as a technical lead.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and data pipelines.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in SQL, Python and/or Spark, data modelling, and data integration.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, Power BI, or similar data platform technologies.
• Good understanding of data governance, data quality, master data management, and data security practices.
• Experience managing platform performance, monitoring, and operational reliability in a production environment.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience within manufacturing, commodity trading, FMCG, or supply chain-intensive industries.
• Exposure to AI/Generative AI, machine learning, or data platforms supporting AI applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and enterprise data governance solutions.
