Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad, East Malaysia region, is seeking a Manager, Business Growth to lead regional revenue expansion across Sarawak and Sabah. The role focuses on identifying external opportunities, strengthening internal revenue within KPJ, and driving strategic account development.

You will build a robust pipeline, collaborate with hospital operations and internal functions to tailor service solutions, and monitor performance across the region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional business growth plan for Sarawak and Sabah.
• Identify and convert new opportunities from external healthcare providers and organisations.
• Drive internal revenue growth by expanding Lablink services within KPJ hospitals.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners and strategic accounts in East Malaysia.
• Manage a healthy regional sales pipeline: lead generation, proposals and tender participation.
• Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis for Sarawak and Sabah.
• Collaborate with operations to create viable service solutions for regional needs.
• Monitor sales performance, pipeline status and account development; report to Head, Business Growth.
• Support pricing, proposals and negotiations within approved authority.
• Coordinate regional marketing and customer engagement to boost awareness and usage.
• Ensure onboarding and delivery alignment between customers, stakeholders and Lablink teams.
• Represent Lablink at meetings and industry events in Sarawak and Sabah.
• Ensure BD activities comply with policies, governance, and regulations.

MANAGER, BUSINESS GROWTH - EAST MALAYSIA

Leading business growth initiatives for the East Malaysia Region covering Sarawak and Sabah, with responsibility for developing external revenue opportunities and strengthening internal revenue within KPJ. The role is responsible for regional sales, business development, market expansion, customer engagement, strategic account development and commercial performance, including identifying market opportunities appropriate to the geographic and healthcare landscape of East Malaysia.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• 1. Develop and execute the regional business growth plan for Sarawak and Sabah in alignment with Lablink’s commercial strategy and revenue targets.
• 2. Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities from external healthcare providers, corporations, employers, insurers, institutions and other relevant organisations.
• 3. Drive internal revenue growth by identifying opportunities to increase utilisation of Lablink services across KPJ hospitals and related companies within the assigned region.
• 4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, business partners, KPJ stakeholders and strategic accounts across Sarawak and Sabah.
• 5. Develop and manage a healthy regional sales pipeline, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, proposal development, tender participation, negotiation and conversion.
• 6. Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis across Sarawak and Sabah to identify market trends, customer needs, service gaps and opportunities for Lablink.
• 7. Work with laboratory operations and relevant internal functions to develop commercially viable service solutions, packages and proposals appropriate to regional customer needs.
• 8. Monitor regional sales performance, revenue achievement, pipeline status, customer conversion and account development; provide regular reports and recommendations to the Head, Business Growth.
• 9. Support pricing, commercial proposals and negotiations within approved authority, ensuring business opportunities are commercially sustainable and aligned with Lablink’s policies.
• 10. Coordinate and support regional marketing, promotional and customer engagement activities to increase awareness and utilisation of Lablink’s laboratory services.
• 11. Ensure effective coordination between customers, regional stakeholders and Lablink’s operational teams for onboarding and delivery of new business.
• 12. Represent Lablink at relevant meetings, networking activities, industry engagements and business development events in Sarawak and Sabah.
• 13. Ensure all business development activities are conducted with high integrity and in compliance with applicable company policies, governance requirements and relevant regulations.
