Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking a senior professional to lead debt origination and capital markets initiatives. You will support origination and execution of debt securities, syndicated loans and project finance, while preparing pitch books and information memorandums and coordinating due diligence with regulators and investors.

The role requires 7–12 years in Corporate Banking or related fields, with strong communication and networking abilities and a proven team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or related field; CFA/MBA preferred; CGPA 3.5+.
• 7–12 years in Corporate Banking, Debt Origination or Capital Markets.
• Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills.
• Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels in a fast-paced environment.

Execute debt products comprising debt securities, syndicated loan and project finance which shall encompass formulating and undertaking business development and origination functions.

Responsibilities:

• To be one of the members working together with the Team Leads to achieve the division’s revenue based on targeted revenue set on individual basis
• To support the Team Leads in origination and execution to achieve overall results on a team basis
• The role will include preparation of pitch books & presentations, structuring & execution of debt securities, syndicated loan or project finance, which includes due diligence process, preparing information memorandums, liaison with rating agencies and relevant regulatory authorities and investors/ participating lenders/ investment banks, documentation, attending to financial close of transaction amongst others
• To continue to strengthen the market positioning of the department as a niche player in the debt capital market and key market leader in the loan syndication space

Requirements:

• Degree holder from a reputable institution of higher learning ( with a minimum grade of second class upper, or a CGPA score of 3.5 and above) and/or professional qualification (eg: CFA) or MBA.
• Minimum of 7-12 years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking/ Debt Origination and Capital Market.
• Relevant corporate experience will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and presentation skills are a pre-requisite.
• Good networking base with strong interpersonal skills
• A good team player with strong mental agility and able to maintain good working relationships with people of all levels.
