Job summary

Merck Gruppe - MSD Sharp & Dohme in Malaysia seeks a Manager – Accounting to Reporting (AtR) to ensure accurate accounting records across APAC markets and adherence to US GAAP and local statutory requirements.

The role oversees GL activities, closes, reconciliations, and SOX compliance while coordinating with global finance teams and internal/external auditors to drive process improvements and robotics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger activities and period-end close for APJ region.
• Manage GL and other AtR sub-processes.
• Implement controls and procedures for APJC.
• Ensure transactions reflect in entity ledger.
• Direct timely period reporting per corporate and country requirements.
• Administer monthly reconciliations per standards.
• Lead process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
• Coordinate workload across team with other finance disciplines.
• Approve period-end financial packages and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure SOX compliance.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives (RPA, Power BI, etc).
• Collaborate with Global Projects and other BSC towers.
• Lead global projects and initiatives.
• Achieve KPI/SLA targets.
