Boulevard Shopping Mall in Miri, Sarawak is seeking an enthusiastic Event cum Marketing Assistant for a full-time role. You will plan, execute and promote mall events while supporting marketing initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in event coordination and marketing communications.

The role involves creating marketing materials, coordinating with vendors and tenants, and boosting our digital presence through social media campaigns.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Event Management or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in marketing or event coordination.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia; local languages advantageous.
• Creative thinking and ability to contribute fresh ideas for events and campaigns.
• Proficiency with social media platforms and basic digital marketing tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic graphic design software.

Responsabilités

• Assisting in planning, coordination and execution of mall events and promotions.
• Supporting creation and distribution of marketing materials including digital content and posters.
• Liaising with event vendors, sponsors and internal teams for smooth operations.
• Monitoring event logistics including setup, staffing and breakdown.
• Growing the mall's social media presence and digital marketing channels.
• Assisting with promotional campaigns and brand awareness initiatives.
• Coordinating with tenants on joint promotions and sponsorship opportunities.
• Conducting market research and analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Providing administrative support to the marketing and events team.
• Contributing creative ideas for event themes, concepts and strategies.
