Job Summary
We are looking for a professional with end-to-end merchandising mindset to join our team. You will be deeply involved in the entire product lifecycle — from planning, sourcing and ordering, to store operations and end-of-season clearance — and take ownership of business results.
In parallel, you will serve as the merchandising contact point for international wholesale business, engaging in product selection, order management, and delivery coordination for key overseas accounts, supporting the company's fast-growing cross-border operations.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to independently manage a core business unit (a specific brand or category), and gain diversified experience across both retail and wholesale channels. You will be a true \"business driver\" , not just an order taker or coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of quarterly OTB (Open-to-Buy) budgets and product structure plans (including footwear/apparel/accessories mix, price ladder, style count and depth) for the assigned business unit, based on historical sales data, market trends, and competitor analysis.
- Participate in seasonal ordering fairs; take ownership of product selection, assortment building, and order consolidation for the assigned categories, ensuring alignment with consumer demand.
II. Retail Merchandising Operations & Flow (~40%)
- Initial Allocation & Replenishment: Develop initial allocation plans for new arrivals based on store tier, store size, and historical sell-through, and continuously optimize daily replenishment logic to maintain healthy inventory levels at store level.
- Inventory & Transfers: Monitor inventory levels across regions/stores in real time; coordinate cross-store and cross-region stock transfers and consolidation to minimize out-of-stock rates and slow-moving accumulation.
- Sales Monitoring: Generate weekly/monthly sell-in/sell-through/inventory reports; identify best-sellers and slow-movers, and proactively propose action plans (e.g., reorder, promotion, or price adjustment).
III. International Wholesale Merchandising & Operations (~25%)
- Product Selection & Order Management: Interface with international wholesale clients (including key overseas accounts); support clients in seasonal product selection, assortment building, and buying plan formulation based on regional guidelines and sales targets; consolidate and review orders.
- Delivery Coordination: Collaborate with regional supply chain/logistics teams to track production schedules and cross-border shipments (including origins such as China and Vietnam) to ensure on-time delivery; assist in preparing shipping documents (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
- Client Support & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary merchandising contact for international clients; provide ongoing operational support and product recommendations; assist in resolving after-sales and return/exchange issues related to merchandise.
IV. Business Analysis & Decision Support (~15%)
- Track core KPIs across omni-channels (retail + wholesale), including sell-through rate, stock-to-sales ratio, discount rate, and inventory turnover, to identify business opportunities and potential risks through data analysis.
- Collaborate with retail operations, visual merchandising, and training teams to ensure effective in-store presentation and conversion of key styles, maximizing product value.
- Generate regular business review reports for international wholesale, providing data-driven insights to optimize merchandising strategies for upcoming seasons.
Qualifications
Must-have
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in merchandising/buying/planning within retail or brand-side environments (apparel/footwear industry preferred). Candidates with 5+ years of experience and proven team management or cross-regional collaboration capabilities may be considered for Supervisor level.
- Skills: Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas); familiarity with ERP or BI tools is a plus.
- Language: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (required for interfacing with international clients and overseas teams).
- Logic: Strong data sensitivity and analytical mindset, with the ability to drive business decisions through data.
Nice-to-have
- Result-oriented: Takes ownership of the business; not satisfied with just \"getting things done\", but strives to \"make things happen\".
- Resilient & Adaptable: Able to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently during peak seasons (e.g., sales campaigns, ordering fairs).
- Collaborative: Excellent cross-functional and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with retail, logistics, supply chain, and overseas teams.
- Growth Mindset: Willing to build a long-term career in merchandising, with a genuine curiosity to learn the product logic of different categories (e.g., adult, kids).
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation and performance incentive scheme
- Hands-on opportunity to independently manage a core brand/category
- Diversified career path across retail and wholesale channels
- International working environment and cross-regional project exposure
