Job summary

The Talent People Pte. Ltd. is partnering with a leading international B2B travel and destination management company, seeking a Product Designer (Travel Consultant) based in Malaysia.

You will design itineraries and proposals for global travel agents, support product designers, and ensure proposals meet client requirements and deadlines. The role blends creativity with commercial acumen, requiring thorough English written and spoken skills, and a track record in travel product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or at least 2 years of experience in travel product development
• Travel industry knowledge, with familiarity with Asia Pacific destinations
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Design and price agent programmes in a timely manner, meeting deadlines
• Present itineraries to a high standard, in excellent written English and the agreed itinerary format
• Understand the requirements of B2B customers and tailor product offerings to meet their needs
• Ensure preferred products and suppliers are included in all bids and proposals
• Review key partners' product offerings and propose improvements to products, pricing and margin
• Work closely with contracting teams to ensure suppliers selected for multi-day itineraries suit client requirements
• Support Product Designers in developing travel products (experiences, day tours and multi-day itineraries) in line with brand standards, ensuring they stand out from the competition and are commercially sound
• Follow and maintain best practices for product design
• Ensure research and benchmarking is carried out for all newly designed products
• Conduct product familiarisation trips when required, and showcase products to internal teams and agents
• Manage and maintain client programmes, pricing and correspondence in line with internal process standards
• Uphold quality and safety standards during product inspections
• Hand over costings and products to the loading team promptly to ensure speed to market and product accuracy
• Work closely with the load team leader to prioritise loading of client programmes
