Job summary

Lumileds Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in Bayan Lepas, Penang. You will coach production teams, optimize manpower, materials, and equipment, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include monitoring KPIs such as OEE and yield, conducting shift briefings, and driving Lean/Six Sigma improvements in a fast-paced electronics environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in manufacturing/production.
• 1–2 years leadership/supervisory, e.g., Shift Lead or Assistant Supervisor.
• Experience in electronics/cleanroom/precision manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Proven ability to manage KPIs and drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost improvements.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Calm under pressure; able to lead a diverse production team.
• Bachelor's in Manufacturing or Engineering field.
• 3–5 years of overall experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate production teams to hit safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Manage daily production schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment for maximum productivity.
• Conduct shift briefings and ensure clear cross-functional communication.
• Monitor KPIs such as OEE, yield, scrap, downtime, and labor efficiency.
• Identify production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and EHS requirements.
• Support incident investigations, safety audits, and foster a safety-first culture.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
• Manage employee performance, training, attendance, and disciplinary matters as required.

What You Will Bring (RequiredQualifications):

• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• 1–2 years of leadership/supervisory experience, such as Shift Lead, Line Leader, or Assistant Supervisor.
• Experience in electronics, cleanroom, precision manufacturing, or a similar environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, troubleshooting, and automation.
• Experience managing production KPIs and delivering improvements inSafety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Able to remain calm under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and lead a diverse production team.
