Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. The role focuses on maintaining small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems, with preventive maintenance and repairs as core duties.

Expect to support installation/modification of equipment, review work orders, and ensure energy-efficient operations while complying with codes and safety regulations. Qualification requires a diploma/degree and 1–2 years' experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree with 1–2 years of job-related experience.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems and exchange straightforward information clearly.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
