Job summary

Shopee Malaysia is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Automated Sorting Machine in Perak. You will monitor and maintain equipment, respond to breakdowns, and assist engineers with SOP reviews and maintenance programs. Hands-on PLC experience and knowledge of WMS integration are preferred.

Location is Ipoh, Perak, with responsibilities including reading schematics, repairing mechanical parts, and performing scheduled maintenance per checklists. Prior warehouse experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Eng or related field with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems experience.
• Experience in PLC and controlling systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems or integration with WMS is advantageous.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience in warehouse environment is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of automated equipment.
• Attend to breakdowns and maintenance complaints promptly.
• Install and commission new equipment per the maintenance checklist.
• Repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust components as required.
• Maintain records of machine service history.
• Assist engineers to review SOPs and maintenance programs.
• Carry out ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Maintenance Technician - Automated Sorting Machine (Perak)

Working Location: Lot 1 Persiaran Tasek, Kawasan Perindustrian Tasek, 31400 Ipoh, Perak

Job Description :

• Support day-to-day machine monitoring and maintenances to ensure smooth business operation
• Attend to breakdown & maintenance complaints promptly
• Carry out installation and commissioning of new equipment and scheduled maintenance works according to the checklist at designated areas / sites
• Repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machine where required
• Maintain proper record of machines & machine service history
• Perform ad hoc or other jobs as assigned by the engineer
• Assist Lead Engineers to review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintenance program

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field or equivalent experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems
• Experience in a warehouse environment would be an added advantage
• Experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and controlling system
• Have strong knowledge in repairing mechanical parts e.g. Conveyor belt, roller, barring etc.
• Have knowledge in Warehouse Controlling Systems / Integration solutions with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Able to read and utilize mechanical & electrical schematics to assist in troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and electronic components
• Good in Material Flow Control software
• Able to multitask, prioritize workloads and work in a dynamic environment
