Job summary

Shopee in Ipoh, Perak, is seeking a maintenance professional to monitor and maintain automated warehouse equipment. You will respond to breakdowns, install new machinery, and perform scheduled maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in electrical, electronics or mechanical engineering or equivalent with AMS/ASRS exposure.
• Experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs and controlling systems.
• Ability to read and use mechanical/electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with material flow and WMS integration.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day machine monitoring and maintenance.
• Attend to breakdowns and maintenance requests promptly.
• Install and commission new equipment and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Perform minor repairs, diagnose faults, and adjust components.
• Repair, clean, lubricate, and maintain machines and parts.
• Keep records of machines and service history.
• Assist Lead Engineers to review SOPs and maintenance programs.
• Assist in designing special components, fixtures, and fittings.

Job Description :

• Support day-to-day machine monitoring and maintenances to ensure smooth business operation
• Attend to breakdown & maintenance complaints promptly
• Carry out installation and commissioning of new equipment and scheduled maintenance works according to the checklist at designated areas / sites
• Perform minor repair & diagnose faults
• Repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machine where required
• Maintain proper record of machines & machine service history
• Perform ad hoc or other jobs as assigned by the engineer
• Assist Lead Engineers to review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintenance program
• Obtaining, designing special component, fixture, fittings

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field or equivalent experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems
• Experience in a warehouse environment would be an added advantage
• Experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and controlling system
• Have strong knowledge in repairing mechanical parts e.g. Conveyor belt, roller, barring etc.
• Have knowledge in Warehouse Controlling Systems / Integration solutions with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Able to read and utilize mechanical & electrical schematics to assist in troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and electronic components
• Good in Material Flow Control software
• Able to multitask, prioritize workloads and work in a dynamic environment
