Job summary

SPX Express is seeking a maintenance engineer to support day-to-day machine monitoring and maintenance across designated warehouse sites in Penang. The role involves installation, commissioning, breakdown response, and routine servicing to ensure uninterrupted operations.

The candidate should have a Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, with PLC experience and the ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics for troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience with automated systems.
• Experience in a warehouse environment is a plus.
• Experience in PLC and controlling systems.
• Ability to read and utilize mechanical & electrical schematics for troubleshooting and resolution of components.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain day-to-day machine operation to ensure smooth business operations.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintenance requests.
• Install and commission new equipment and perform scheduled maintenance per site checklists.
• Repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust mechanical/electrical parts as needed.
• Maintain records of machine service history.
• Assist engineers in reviewing SOPs and maintenance programs.

• Support day-to-day machine monitoring and maintenances to ensure smooth business operation
• Attend to breakdown & maintenance complaints promptly
• Carry out installation and commissioning of new equipment and scheduled maintenance works according to the checklist at designated areas / sites
• Repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machine where required
• Maintain proper record of machines & machine service history
• Perform ad hoc or other jobs as assigned by the engineer
• Assist Lead Engineers to review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintenance program

Job Requirement :

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field or equivalent experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems
• Experience in a warehouse environment would be an added advantage
• Experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and controlling system
• Have strong knowledge in repairing mechanical parts e.g. Conveyor belt, roller, barring etc.
• Have knowledge in Warehouse Controlling Systems / Integration solutions with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Able to read and utilize mechanical & electrical schematics to assist in troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and electronic components
