Job summary

PEM Fasteners is seeking a skilled chargeman to oversee electrical and mechanical maintenance across the plant. You will support machine setup, monitor performance, and conduct repairs to minimize downtime.

Daily duties include preventive maintenance of utilities and safety equipment, maintaining workshop hygiene, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role requires a Diploma in Electrical Power, Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering and 3–5 years of hands-on

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Power, Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering is required.
• At least 3 to 5 years of work experience as chargeman.

Responsibilities

• Support superior on new machine setup from installation to operation.
• Conduct machine performance monitoring and breakdown analysis.
• Repair and maintain mechanical and electrical of all facilities, machines, and safety equipment with routine servicing.
• Perform preventive maintenance for plant utilities equipment and machinery.
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in safe condition.
• Improve and maintain high standard of 5S in the workplace.
• Coordinate substation and control panel activities and liaise with vendors/visiting engineers.

• Support superior on new machine setup from installation to operation.
• Conduct machine performance monitoring, breakdown analysis and carry out improvement activity.
• Responsible for repairing and maintaining the mechanical and electrical of all facilities, machine, operational equipment, and safety equipment by keeping a routine servicing schedule.
• Responsible for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to reduce machinery down time.
• Perform the preventive maintenance activity for entire plant utilities equipment and machinery.
• To maintain workshop, personal tools and equipment in working and safe condition.
• Improving and maintaining high standard of 5S.
• Responsible for substation and control panel switching, earth leakage calibration with vendor and attend meeting with visiting engineer.
• Ensure all electrical installation is according to Suruhanjaya Tenaga rules and regulation.
• Better understanding in identifying hazardous waste and make proper disposal arrangement to the scheduled waste storage.
• To carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Electrical Power, Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Atleast 3 to 5 years of work experience as chargeman.
