Job summary

Renesas Semiconductor (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on ATE testers, handlers, and contactors, and to support test engineers with day-to-day operations. You will inspect, calibrate, and replace worn components to minimize equipment downtime and ensure data integrity of test results.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to read datasheets, test limits and schematics.
• Experience with ATE platforms and handlers is an advantage.

Perform preventative maintenance (daily, monthly, 3/6 monthly) on ATE testers, handlers, and contactors

Clean and replace consumable parts (contactor pins, sockets, indexers)

Conduct routine calibration of test system instruments

Troubleshoot hardware issues including mechanical, electrical, and thermal problems

Support Test Engineers in failure analysis and root cause investigations

Implement process improvements and resolve yield issues

Prepare and maintain test-related documentation and reports

Requirements

Diploma in Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering

Strong foundation in electronics and mechanical systems

Experience with ATE platforms (UltraFLEX, V93K, T2000) and handlers (EPSON, JHT, Vitrox) is an advantage

Good problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

Able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment

Ability to read datasheets, test limits, and schematics is an added advantage
