Job summary

CK East Development Sdn Bhd seeks a Maintenance Technician to preserve the condition, safety, and functionality of its commercial and residential facilities in Kuala Lumpur. You will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and quick repairs across electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years’ experience in high-rise, commercial, or hotel environments, solid knowledge of single/three-phase electrical systems, plumbing networks, and basic building

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Building Services, or an equivalent technical field.
• 1–2 years of working experience as a maintenance technician in high-rise, commercial offices, or hotel environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing networks, and basic building automation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily routine inspections of building facilities, including lighting, plumbing, swimming pools, lifts, and central HVAC systems.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including basic electrical work, plumbing repairs, painting, carpentry, and minor masonry.
• Diagnose mechanical or structural problems and escalate complex issues to specialized external vendors if needed.
• Assist in executing monthly and annual preventive maintenance schedules to mitigate equipment downtime.
• Supervise external contractors and service vendors during specialized technical service or structural updates.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and rectify safety hazards.
• Keep logs of daily maintenance tasks, equipment breakdowns, and spare parts inventory.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. In this role, you will be responsible for preserving the pristine condition, safety, and functionality of our commercial and residential facilities. You will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and quick-response repairs across the property's electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

Conduct daily routine inspections of building facilities, including lighting, plumbing, swimming pools, lifts, and central HVAC systems

Perform general maintenance tasks including basic electrical work, plumbing repairs, painting, carpentry, and minor masonry

Diagnose mechanical or structural problems and execute immediate troubleshooting or escape complex issues to specialized external vendors

Assist in executing the building's monthly and annual preventive maintenance schedules to mitigate equipment downtime

Supervise external contractors and service vendors during specialized technical service or structural updates

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests from tenants or management and rectify safety hazards immediately

Keep clear, accurate logs of daily maintenance tasks, equipment breakdowns, and spare parts inventory

About you

Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Building Services, or an equivalent technical field

At least 1-2 years of working experience as a maintenance technician, preferably within high-rise residential properties, commercial offices, or hotel environments

Strong practical knowledge of single/three-phase electrical systems, plumbing networks, and basic building automation systems

Valid Wireman Certificate (PW1 / PW2 / PW4) certified by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) is a major advantage

High physical fitness, trouble-shooting mindset, ability to work independently, and willingness to work on a rotational shift pattern (including weekends or public holidays if required)

Conversational fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English
