Job summary

FUTURE FOOD SDN. BHD. in Iskandar Puteri, Johor is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for a full-time role. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, and carry out timely repairs to keep operations efficient.

You will document work in logs, respond to urgent requests, and coordinate with teams to minimise downtime while maintaining safety and quality across our facility.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance technician or similar role in manufacturing or food production is required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems with ability to troubleshoot and repair.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems to ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
• Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty parts, components, and equipment as required
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and records of all work performed, including parts used and hours spent
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls to minimise operational disruptions
• Inspect equipment and facilities regularly to identify potential issues before they become critical problems
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure coordinated maintenance scheduling
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Perform general handyperson duties including plumbing, carpentry, and painting as required
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment and properly store tools and materials

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
• Ability to operate and maintain various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical work, plumbing, or mechanical maintenance are advantageous
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the facility as needed
• Familiarity with health and safety standards and best practices in the maintenance industry
