Job summary

Hotel Granada Johor Bahru is seeking a proactive maintenance technician to handle repairs, electronics servicing, painting, and wiring tasks across hotel facilities.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance for refrigerators, TVs, and air conditioners, responding to guest issues, and ensuring safety equipment is operational. The role requires daily rounds, on-call availability, and collaboration with HR for hostel inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience in general hotel maintenance or facilities upkeep.
• Ability to repair or replace electronics and electrical components.
• Comfort with painting, wiring, and basic carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace electronics, perform painting, cleaning and wiring tasks.
• Maintain electronics like refrigerators, TVs and air conditioners.
• Respond to guest complaints and complete work orders promptly.
• Ensure safety equipment (fire alarm, fire extinguisher) is present and functional.
• Refurbish chairs, tables, doors, windows and counters for long-term upkeep.
• Manage ground maintenance: parking, garden, landscaping, pool areas.
• Be on-call 24/7 for emergencies and guest grievances.
• Assist HR in inspecting staff hostel when needed.
• Daily rounds to check hotel accommodations and report problems.
• Conduct technician I and II across all project facilities programs.
• For senior technician, ensure air conditioning system is in good condition.
• Attend meetings when maintenance manager or officer is away.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Must perform task like repairing of various equipment and materials, replacement of electronics, painting, cleaning or wiring work.
• Also maintenance of electronics like refrigerators, television sets, air conditioners etc. must be done regularly.
• Responding and solving guest complains or issues in timely manner and must also fulfill work orders when issues cannot be resolved.
• To keep a check that safety equipment like fire alarm, fire extinguisher etc. are in place and are in working condition.
• Refurbishing of chairs, tables, doors, windows and counters in order to keep it maintained for a long time.
• Ground maintenance like cleaning and maintenance of parking lot, garden or landscaping, swimming pool etc.
• Must be on call 24/7 for emergency to know if guest have any grievances
• Assist HR personnel to inspect staff Hostel when needed.
• Common tasks include painting, electrical accessory replacements and repair, and some wiring. Air conditioners must also be cleaned or replaced regularly.
• Workers also are required to complete daily rounds, checking on basic hotel accommodations and identifying and reporting any problems.
• Conduct technician I and II to all project facilities program
• For senior technician Air Cond make sure Air Cond system properly condition is good every time
• Attend meeting in case maintenance manager or officer not around at hotel
