Job summary

TE Connectivity in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Maintenance Technician to lead routine and preventive maintenance of facilities and manufacturing machinery in the assigned area. You will perform evaluations, predictive maintenance, and repairs, train junior techs, and ensure equipment uptime by following blueprints, manuals and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have good or corrected eyesight to ensure quality of work.
• Ability to lift and carry 25 kg frequently.
• Ability to crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at various heights.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and/or analyze unique problems that are new to equipment.
• Perform predictive maintenance by analyzing routine failures and determining adjustments and repairs that need to be made.
• Perform training as needed to lower level Maintenance Techs on troubleshooting and repair techniques utilized with equipment.
• Perform specified preventative maintenance on production equipment to prevent equipment downtime.
• Monitor equipment operations to ensure proper usage.
• Construct and/or assemble new equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and repair as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.
• Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.
• Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards

What Your Background Should Look Like

Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related work experience. Requires completion of high school. Vocational training or an AA degree is preferred.
