Job summary

TE Connectivity Manufacturing Malaysia is seeking a maintenance-oriented technician to monitor machine performance and carry out preventive maintenance on site. You will troubleshoot equipment, request setups and repairs through the tool room, and coordinate with area leads to ensure smooth production flow.

You will write labor tickets and production reports, assist operators, and uphold safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machinery performance and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot machines and modify as needed.
• Coordinate setups and maintenance through the tool room and area lead.
• Request repairs from the maintenance department and document work.
• Write labor tickets and production reports; report safety or quality concerns to supervisor.
• Assist operators and other staff to meet job requirements.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and housekeeping rules; perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Monitor machinery performance and basic preventive maintenance on equipment

Trouble shoot machines, monitor results and make modifications as needed.

Request set ups and maintenance through the tool room.

Request repairs on machinery from the maintenance department

Coordinate installations with area lead person, material handler and tool room.

Set up all assigned machines and monitor machine performance.

Shut a machine down if safety, quality of parts, or any concerns arise from the operator--it must be reported to the supervisor immediately.

Completion of all paperwork pertaining to department requirements.

Provide effective communication to all levels of personnel regarding quality, mechanical and/or mold problems.

Check and measure in-process parts.

Write labor tickets and production reports.

Assist operators and departmental personnel to meet job requirements.

Observe all company rules and procedures including housekeeping, quality of work and safety.

Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.

Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
