Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee engineering, building maintenance and facilities operations. You will manage M&E systems including HVAC, chillers, electrical and water systems, and lead preventive maintenance programs.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, the role requires hands-on leadership, strong M&E knowledge, and ability to manage budgets and contractors while ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the hotel's engineering, building maintenance and facilities operations.

The ideal candidate must have strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) technical knowledge, particularly in maintaining mature building infrastructures, troubleshooting technical issues and managing preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee overall building, facilities and engineering maintenance.
• Manage M&E systems, including HVAC, chillers, electrical, plumbing and water systems.
• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and identify potential equipment failures.
• Manage renovation, refurbishment and upgrading projects.
• Ensure compliance with Bomba, DOSH, Suruhanjaya Tenaga and other statutory requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant building maintenance experience.
• At least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in hotel engineering and ageing building maintenance is highly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems, HVAC and chiller plants.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of safety and statutory compliance.
• Strong leadership, budgeting and contractor management skills.
